I guess it might be a little too much for him, considering he doesn't care for a flush fitment based on his own comments. But single digits on a 8.5/9.5 is only anywhere from very low 20's to teens on a 9.5/10.5 (most popular wheel widths for aftermarket wheels on the G/Z). That's nothing extreme.

You cannot be flush without a fender roll on the G/Z.

But... if he doesn't want a proper, flush fitment on his setup, then that's all good. Not everyone is looking for a flush look.

p.s. I'm running 245/275's on 9.5 +7, 10.5 + 8 with just a simple rear fender roll on the rears. Those offsets would be in the negatives with an 8.5/9.5... nothing extreme at all.
This is an entirely different ballgame, because you are running stretched tires.
