Yes they fit, all Z wheels will fit any 350Z brembo or not. Aftermarket calipers are a different story. But factory 17's fit over my 6 piston wilwood kit with 14 inch rotors.

17" wheels are no problem, just make sure the offsets are correct. As a reference point, I used a set of SSR Comp-H wheels 17x8 +33 offset and I had no clearance issues.

Default Anyone use chrome wheels during snow/winter season?

Does anyone here have chrome wheels and use it during snow/winter seasons with cities that spray rock salt and sand to melt it?

What I'm confused about is that truckers chrome their bumpers to be more weather resistant but for car wheels people say to swap them out.

how about with wheel sealants? They are used to protect rims from brake dust, salt/rocks cant be worse than brake dust can they?

Typically on truckers their bumpers are stainless steel... Why would you want chrome on your Z anyway?

Is not really for my Z, just a general wheels question. Got chrome wheels on my other car.

Did you have any wheel sealant on them?

Chrome wheels are really hard to keep from corroding in the winter. Even machined or polished wheels can be an issue. Fully painted would be best winter option.

I couldn't think of anything better to use OEM Chrome wheels for. They are perfect, then you don't have to worry about your nice wheels getting messed up.

Default 17's for winter tires

I currently have the stock 18" wheels on my 07 Z and I am going to buy another set of wheels to use for a dedicated set of winter tires/wheels. I found a set of stock 17" wheels from the 03-06 Z for a steal and I was wondering if that will cause any problems with my car? I know the TPMS will either need to be reprogrammed, but I planned on just dealing with the light on in the car for the winter in lieu of reprogramming them every winter. I also figure I'd have to get the care re-aligned when I switch tires too. Any help is much appreciated.

Default Nagging Fiance

Okay, so I want to buy a set of wheels for dedicated winter use with dedicated pure winter tires for my 07 Z. We will be in PA in the Harrisburg area. As we are moving in June and getting married in Oct I don't have the extra cash right now to spring for a beater for the winter like I want to do. She is convinced that using dedicated tires, like the Bridgestone Blizzak, that I will still be unable to drive my Z in the winter. She doesn't think winter tires will make any difference in the handling of my car and I'll end up stuck or in an accident because the car is rear wheel drive. Can anyone help with this discussion, preferably people who use/or have used their Z in the winter with snowy/icy conditions. Thanks for any input.

Mike

she needs to go back to sandwich 101 and let the men deal with their cars. you will be fine. i've driven my z on summer tires through winter, i've driven my old g sedan on bald 285 summer tires in winter (and our wisonsin winters are pretty severe). the moment i threw on bliazzaks on the g it was a dream. car pulled through anything, went uphill without hesitation, didnt skip out or feel like the back was breaking loose, etc. you will be perfectly fine with a proper set of winter tires, trust me.
