Default Nismo 18" Wheels

Guys

Question - I'm thinking of replacing the 18" wheels on my 6MT "G" with a set of Nismo's, also 18". Stocks are 8" wide all around. Nismo's are 8.5" front, 9.5" out back. Offsets are stock 30mm f&B, Nismo's are 25mm F and 30mm rear.

Problem - Nismo offically says not for use with VDC. Why not? Why would this affect anything? I tried to reach Tod at Tire Rack, to talk to him about it. Couldn't reach him. Courtesy didn't know. Jenny at Performance said they had a bullitin that said I would need to replace the springs and sway bar with Nismo Pieces. I don't want to do this. Why would that make a difference? Anyone have an opinion on this?

My $0.02 worth:

That is Nissan corporate lawyers covering their butts.

There was a long thread about this a few months ago and even Jeff at Performance Nissan didn't know what that meant.

I say skip all the suspension bits, buy the wheels, install them and enjoy them.

Several of us have the wheels and ignored the warning because it makes absolutely no sense. NNA should support the warning with facts as to why.

I've had no problems with the VDC that I am aware of.
