Do after market wheels / tires feather if you put them on a car that originally featherd..
someone told me that feathering is caused by bad suspension...
can we get nissan to put a nismo suspension on then? hehe

My Dealer dismounted both front tires and cross rotated and alingned the front end...Rides a lot quieter and doesn't bounce as much a lot smoother. The only thing is now you can really see the cupping. It's on the outside.

So basically the alignment (and tire side swapping) is a simple quick fix, right? So what about long term feathering problems? Does Nissan have any plans to fix the problem for the long term?

I think we are all waiting for the answer to this one.

The tires were seperated from the rims...They had to get approval from Nissan to perform this task. So there must be some kind of TSB on this problem.

I have S-tune
suspension and nismo wheels. Suspension is supposedly right on.
However, do you guys recommend getting adjustable camber/toe kits to ensure proper specs? (I would hate to see my S03's begin to feather!)
If so, which kit?
thanx

Feathering is uneven tread ware on tire.
Do a search and look through because there are many pics.
Also, my car pulled to the right after changing the suspension and wheels/tires.
After four attempts to align, it was found that the screw to the control arm was not screwed at all. They believe it came this way from the factory. Others appeared to have the same problem.
Anyway, it's hard to find that this is the problem depending on how the car is lifted to align. You have to ask them to lift the car on the chassis, not on the control arm. Otherwise, problem may be missed.
Hope this helps your prob..
PS FYI, if you believe something is not right, persist by having it rechecked or go to another alignment shop(sports car specialist a best) and getting it checked out.
