Ok I'll break it down for you, because this is how I'm approaching it as well...

If you do not like your current wheel color set up, and the factory finish is coming off and you're buddy is going to powder coat them for free...I don't see ANY reason NOT to coat them.

However, aftermarket wheels look way better on the Z than painted OEM's.
I had the chrome skinny 5-spoke wheels that you see in those pics and I hated them, so as a temporary fix, until I can afford the wheels I want, I had a buddy of mine powder coat mine for 100 bucks (like I said in an earlier post). I've gotten tons of compliments since then, and I do like them better, but it's not going to be permanent.

So with that being said, if you had even considered coating them, go ahead and do it...otherwise you're always going to be thinking about it. Then save your money for a nicer set of shoes in the long run...it's a win win.
