Default I-forged Style Rims should I get them powdercoated?

Im planning to get some rims very much like the I-forged Areo wheels without rivits on my Redline Z. I thinking about getting them in gun metal or silver.

What do you guys think I should leave them silver or get them in powdercoated gun metal?

Im also going to add a carbon fiber hood. Opinions please.

Heres a current pic of my car.

Yea the gunmetal rims with polished lip would look REALLY nice. I also think if you get the CF hood... you should leave only the center part of it CF and paint the rest... kinda like you did with your veilside front lip.

actually...good idea with the carbon hood painting..even though im a big fan of unpainted CF

...anyway..RED6....feel the need for some LIP huh?

anyway....i had the same dillema as you....in the end i got the BRUSHED finish...i dont know how that compares to the silver finish but im very happy with it

i thought it might a bit unaggressive but the LIP of the wheels + the size makes up for it

its up to you though...many people will tell you gunmetal just because its what they want to see on your car

either way its a thing that will always bother you (sad but true)

just want to let you know that the brushed finish is absolutely gorgeous and i love the wheels ...

if you get silver or brushed i reccommend rivets ...if you get gunmetal then no rivets

Gunmetal doesn't look right on red. Besides with a big silver door handle, it looks more pleasing to the eye when your wheels are nice and silver too. Do silver, brushed, or fully polished if you wanna look classy.

Keep the wheels you've got....they look great....and I'm sure the quality is better than Iforged.

Well that my deliema too that the door handle will look off. I on a 50/50 edge on either to get the gun metal or just silver.

My last project car had gunmetal rims, but it was whole different kind of car. It look good though on red.

Could someone help me and photoshop a set of gun metal areo's, and a set of silver areo's on a red Z?

Heres a few pics of my old car.

Your car looks good as is, for a non-lip wheel those are pretty nice. Maybe just buy havabooz's iForged so you don't have to wait.

Anyway, where do you get those little pieces on the side? And I like what did with the front, looks nice the way you painted it. What kind of lip is that? I'm interested in getting those pieces or similar, I don't like a fully bodykit, I prefer those little accents.

Actually the rims may be sponsored to me (they are not i-Forged but a simaular design). I do like my current wheels and for a one piece wheel they are great. Im really in need of a two piece though to show the deepness of the wheel well.

Those pieces on the side and front lip is made by Veilside. The font pieces is full carbon fiber i just had the side painted to look more finished. The sides are fiberglass.

Veilside has good products but just to give you the head up my kit has caused me nothing but problems. My front side rear and wing has had problems in fitment and cracking.

Veilside has supposably fixed the problems with the Version one pieces but be aware. If you do get the kit or pieces of the kit make sure everything fits correctly. If you dont and install and paint it becomes your problem.

Ah, well thanks for the heads up, I'll steer clear of Veilside then. I know there are a lot of front lips available like that, I'll just have to find someone else who makes the side dealies. I like the front lip evo-r.net sells.

What are the similar rims your getting? I can think of GFG, Symbolic, NCforged, HRE, and a couple of others similar to iForged. Those RO_JA wheels ain't bad either.

i have the veilside side pieces and the evo-r front lip

the lip fits great but i havnt painted it yet (its just black)

the veilside underwings that i have are CF/FRP...the quality is crap(the clearcoat is bad)...but they look amazing on the car...there is nothing wrong with the fitment on the side wings

there are some pics of gunmetal aeros on a red Z...the wheels were not made specifically for a Z though so all you can get is a rough idea of how it will look....the rivets through it off a little...but then again, wihtout the rivets it would be very dark

someone go get the pics from the gallery im too lazy

Those gunmetal rims in that gallery are REALLY dark. Judgin by those photos I would have to say... Red6 you should go with more of a brushed alluminum with polished lip...

the pics will normally be much darker than in real life...so you would have to see them in real life to make a good religion
