Default 350z with chevy heart Tire and wheel size autox/drift/ some street.

Getting close to being done with my 06' 350z build.. I have taken the route of putting back togeather a 2006 350z that had been wrecked partally on the driver side in the front fender area.. I new the car had alot of potental and being hurt from racing moto cross at a pro-am level, i decided that this build was going to help keep me off a bike until i was healed all the way.. so i put a Ls2 motor with a T-56 trans in my z. I am lookin at about 550hp or so at the crank. I am puttin a nismo LSD rear end in today. I also have a full cage, and for suspension i put the TEIN mono flex coil overs, with the adjustable edcf components.. I have pleanty more things to post but will get to that when i list my build. I am trying to get some help as to what wheels/tires i should use for auto x.. will be up at road atlanta testing as soon as i feel the car is ready!. I also want to do a little drifting as well. The car will be driven on the street every now and then too.. Hope you can help me out a little.. Ray

Should be an interesting build. The drift scene is leaning more towards v8 power now. Auto-crossing it with all that torque on a small course should be a good challenge. I think tire selection will be more important than trying to just fill the wells with size. Do a search for auto cross drivers on this board and get their input.

Everything sounds like a serious build except for the Tein coilovers. For a DD street car, they are decent value. For anything competitive, move along.

For autocross you are in an open class and can do just about anything. 10 inch wheels with shaved tires and you are ready to go.

BTW Road Atlanta is a road course. What does this have to do with autocross?

Pics?

Definitely a fun build. I'm throwing a LS2 in my 240 this spring and I can't wait!

i would go with 17" wheels the tires are cheaper and you should be burning through them often
