Default Anyone tried Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric on your Z?

Warm greetings from sunny island Singapore!

I just put on a set of Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric tyres on my Z, switching over from Toyo Proxes T1R tyres.

Am on Work Emotions rims, tyre sizes are 245/40 R18 and 275/35 R18.

Actually i wanted 275/40 for the back, but was advised against it and anyway the F1 Asymmetric doesn't have that size.

Just wanted to know if anyone here has tried the F1 Asymmetric on their Z and what's your feedback/comments on it?

One more thing - after i changed from stock rims to these Work Emo rims, my audio system went cuckoo! Now i can't play CDs in the car.. each time i corner, the music will disappear!

I put a set on the rear of my Z and had KDWs on befre that. The KDWs had more grip but the Eagles were a little more predictable. I liked them for what I did with them which was mostly street driving. The KDWs were a better ride though but not by much. The Eagles last longer. Why did you want to go with such a large side wall. My tire size in the rear is 285/30/19 My fronts are 245/35/19. If you stagger the size like that the side wall size will be about the same. Otherwise the rear will look fatter.

Feedback is a good idea. You have the tires. How about some feedback?

weelll.. the F1 Asymmetric is meant for high-performance cars, hence only made in 17" and above. the focus of the tyre is on its Active Grip technology, which really works well when rushing in and out of tight corners.

the first thing i felt when i switched to these tyres was the reduction in noise. i could hear my Apexi N1 exhaust much clearer than before!

haven't really had much experience in the rain on these tyres, but in the dry it's quite good. heard Michelin PS3 tyre is launching soon.. now that may be exciting..
