Default Toyo R888

So I'm planning to replace my tires and considering the toyos R888. I know the life time of these tires is short, around 5000-8000 miles.

What I'm wondering is, how good are they on a road course track?

I have 19" wheels in 9.5/10.5 setup, I'm considering the 295/30/19 in the rear (my fenders are rolled) but not sure which size I should go for up front. Toyo offer only 235/35/19 and 265/30/19, which of these I should go for to compliment the rear tire size?

You will NOT be disappointed with the R888.

If you're using them for a road course primarily I would recommend the 265 for the front

Thanks for the input Driven and dubi.

Actually I use the Z mostly on the road (its my weekend warrior) and planning to go for occasional track days and autocross. Saying that, am I good with the 265 up front?

go with the 305's in the rear. they work just fine with 10.5 wheels.

I have +19 offset in the rear and dropped about 1.2". do you think 305 would fit with no major fender cutting?

305 will be REAL tight with a +19. It may require a little pulling.

I can get it on my 20x11 with a 0 offset but it's close.

Negative. And I agree with the 265 front. They are a good all-around tire. Not the best for autox nor track, but good for both.

Any other specific brand you recommend that comes in 19" and is good for both the track and street?

No, the R888 is a perfect balance. It's what I'd do if I didn't have 3 other sets just for different types of performance events, and it's what I run on my high HP 300ZX TT because I hate the feeling of the sloppy drag radials in the back while I'm on the highway, so I switched to the R888s.
