Advice on new te37
Wu-watt my car is black, dropped on sportlines, and the wheels are black with blue stickers. I was thinkin about rockin 265 rear, 225 or 235 front! Get some stretch goin!
You can tell if they are genuine if they come in Volk boxes with bags on the wheels.. They will also say Ray's forged or sumthn in the casting. I have a 235 on my 9.5" front rim and it pokes a bit. I think a 265 might look a little bulky on the rear 9" rim. IMO Just do like 235 all around. Then you can rotate em'. If you select a good tire you prob wont have traction issues. I wouldnt prefer that but its prob in your best interest to run a square set up.
However, real 18" TE37s do not have "Forged" or "Monoblock" or "Ray's Eng." cast into the rim like the 19" does, in fact I think they may have nothing cast into the face of the rim. So don't rely on that.
A simple phone call to Mackin Industries should let you know if Volk ever made a 18x9 +15.
I have also seen a couple of threads while searching in the past about replica Volks, so I would advise looking for those and getting an education on the differences.
$1k for real TE37's new ain't a bad price. $1k for replicas seems to be average market price and is not a screaming deal at all.
Good luck.
Regardless of the other crap, i would pass simply on fittment alone. 9" all around is pretty weak, even with et.15. I also just dont like spacers very much.
1000 for a set of TE37's in those sizes sounds extremely shady, regardless of what you say about the distributor shutting down.
