Tire size question
Hmmm, it has been a while since I took a wheel off to get to the fenderliner
but I'd swear I didn't have such a bolt...I will look to be sure my memory isn't getting faulty!

Think about these points:
- The front wheels turn. That means that even a relatively “thin” tire (such as a 225 width) must clear the front fender in a lock-to-lock turn since the tire height must clear your front fenders.
- And, that also means that the front fender will accommodate a very wide tire (some members here go as wide as 275mm on the front).
- You don’t need to roll front fenders to accommodate “wide” tires (again, the front wheels turn outside the front fender).
- For your front tire, you only need to consider overall tire diameter, and not tire width.
Here is my recommendation based upon the information you provide on your thread:
- Buy a second set of stock wheels (or at least the rears if you can get these by them alone). If you are going all-square, the best way to do this is with 4 wheels that are the same size (height, width, and offset).
- Mount the same size tires on all four corners. If you go 235’s on 17” wheels, mount 235/50-17” all around. If you go with 225’s on 17” wheels, go with 225/55-17” all around.
I should also mention that a 17” wheel allows a greater selection of tire-width on various wheel-widths than you have with 18” or 19” wheels. That is simply because the section height is greater on a 17” wheel, and more forgiving when fitting tire widths than you have with taller wheels.

You will not have any issues with rubbing on the front with 235’s. As Scott states, he’s running 255’s on the front.

I am 99% sure I will go with 4 stock Nissan "rear" wheel rims all around
mated to 235/50/17 tires.
I will post a few pics once it is done but I expect it to look the same as it does now.
