I have a set of Volk TE37s, 19x8.5s and 19x9.5s. They are pretty scratched up, although otherwise undamaged. I'm going to get a set of 18" wheels and plan to sell the TE37s. I can either sell them as is and take a pretty big price hit because of the cosmetics or I can get them powdercoated so they look new again.
My thought is that if I powdercoat them so they look new, I'll sell them faster and get enough of a higher price for them to offset the price of the powdercoating. What do you folks think?
BTW, are the Rays stickers that are on the wheels available so I can apply a set if I have the wheels refinished? Note: if I have the wheels refinished I plan to disclose it when I sell them.

powder coating can weaken the integrity of the wheel. Painting would be better.
OP since they are messed up, I would suggest you just fix them yourself.
If there is any curbage get some aluminum puddy and fill those spots in. Then sand the wheels down.
After that you can primer it and then the next day rattle can some black paint. Let it cure overnight and blast it with a clear.
This way you haven't really invested any more money but you can get a few extra dollars out of the deal.

I'm not sure it's really relevant to the question, but I'll get some pics posted soon.

Here is the RR. It's in pretty good shape, as well. When I originally posted, I thought more than one of the wheels was scuffed up, but it only one of them is. The others have a few small chips, but are in good shape otherwise.
So what do you folks think about selling as is or getting 'em refinished now that you can see them?
