I think you're doing an amazing job of polishing - for myself I would cringe at the upkeep its gonna take to keep those wheels looking good without a clearcoat of some sort.

umm, even a clearcoat will need to be waxed 'over and over again'.
you should always wax the inner barrels of your wheels every 6 months to keep them protected from brake dust.

I'll clean them as best I can and considering the wheels will only be on from march to about October, i won't mind pulling them off the wax and clean them a couple times. Either way, they are going to look 10,000 times better than if I had never done it...
I don't want to clear them because I want the ability to rouge them again if I choose...
