hey guys i just bought my z about a week ago so im pretty new to all this and have been searching about this topic but cant seem to find exactly what im looking for.

well i found a set of rims and tires for a good price and that i like but not sure if the offset and everything would work?
heres the specs the guy listed:
Wheels: Authentic Forged Rays Gram Lights 57F
Wheel size: 18x8.5
Hole Pattern: 5x114/100
Tires: Kumho MX
Tire size: 225/40/18
i asked him the offset of them and he said he thinks they are 42 but he needs to check for sure

please dont flame i know its a noob question!

 

okay thanks, i thought that offset seemed a lot higher than what ive been reading

 

Besides these 244 threads this is the first we have talked about offset.

 

Have him double check the offset. If you really like them and the price is right, you could run spacers to get the look that you want. You could also change out the tires to something more suitable in size. Remember, your stock tires are 225/245 FR/RR, but most do go larger. Sell the tires on CL or ebay, use the WHEELS (not rims!) if you really like them.
