Thanks for clarifying that. Glad I asked the question! Now to find another brand that makes affordable 265/35/19's...

I know this is a 2010 thread.. but how many miles did you get out of your DWs?

Great thread Spike! I always liked your well detailed threads. How are the DWS standing up? I currently have BFG KDW 2 and I need to get a new rear set after 28k miles. I'm trying to decide between DWS, DW and V12s

Default Conti Extremecontact DWS

I would just like to add my experience. 5 months ago I replaced a set of Pirelli Scorpion Assymetrico Scorpion Zeros on my XC90 V8 Sport. I found the ride quite decent for a heavy V8 SUV. They also performed well in deep snow this winter 4-8 inches or more. I would never use my 350Z in that much snow. I purchased these as a replacement for the original Bridgestone
Potenzas that were old and one was worn down to the wear bar and the other had picked up a nail that couldn't be repaired.

So I now have the same tire in 19" and 18" on two different cars.
My impression after several thousand kilometers is they perform great
in the snow and wet while giving up little in dry road handling. They will no doubt have a longer life than Scorpion Zeros or Potenzas.

They also are squarer to the road and are not as low profile in appearance as Scorpions or Bridgestones. but that extra rubber on the road helps.

Any performance tire will give decent dry handling, but it's the wet weather that our Zcars need the stability of this tire.
