Default do streched tyres reduce tyre wear caused by camber?

hey guys, kind of a newbie question i guess but i cant find the answer any where?

im currantly running coilovers on my 350, its not sitting nice and low (not quite as low as most of you guys tho because im in the uk and the roads suck...) just waiting for my new tyres and wider spacers to arrive...

im currantly running a 10" rear rim with a 265 tyre but play to run a 225 tyre, ive noticed being this low has increased my camber alot. and im getting major tyre wear, it is booked in next month to have 4 wheel alignment done, so should sort my issue abit but i like the look of the camber...

I just wonderd if your running streched tyres you get less uneven wear from camber than if you ran a full size tyre?

this question makes sence in my head i just hope i have managed to get it into words properly?

any help would be good, cheers guys

no. and camber doesn't cause tire a higher rate of tire ware, toe does. the only real reason to run a stretched tire is if you want dialed fitment.

there are bad roads all over the world. grow a pair and slam it.

Did you even get an alignment after you lowered the vehicle? If not of course you're going to have excessive tire wear due to your alignment being off.

this, exactly this!

you dont' know how many people argue all day long that camber wears tires. on my minitruck when i tucked rim there was over 10 deg negative camber and i never had tire wear any faster than a normal car. Have the toe set normal.

just look at cars with very little camber and toe out of spec and their tires don't last.

Streched tires will only make your condition worse, you need to purchase a camber kit and get a proper alignment.

How does a stretched tire make full contact on the road? Most I have seen are all uneven (camber and toe adjusted) with a small contact patch.

the only real point of having a stretched tire is for fitment, which also often requires more camber, causing a smaller/uneaven contact patch on the tire, which is probably why you associate stretched tire with smaller/uneaven contact patch.
