well i just put in a pre order for XXR 527 18x9.75 for my 03 Z and been trying to figure out some tire sizes and i need some help. alright first, i personally am going with a square setup instead of staggered, and was wondering if a 275/40 tire would fit up front? the car is still on stock suspension too. i know it'll be good out back but im not sure if it will rub in the front. if anything 265/40 would be good all around?
thanks
thanks
OP, your thread has been merged with the existing XXR thread. There are already several examples here that you can search/reference.

Your input wanted - XXR Wheels
Hope this doesnt go against the forum rules, but I am looking for subjective feedback on what others in our posse think (if it is closed I would understand).
Wanted to get the forums thoughts and subjective opions on these two choices of rims (only these two...reference pics and suggestions are fine...but the choice will come down to these)
Car:
08 350z
Color:
Carbo Silver
If it matters:
planning to put a gloss black lip and potentially full lip kit...thinijng Nizmo or the Veilside underwings kit (just thinking...may just go with V1 Lip and have the fin painted gloss black and the rest painted Carbon Silver).
Wheel Size:
18's (will eventually lower on some Tein S or H techs).
Choices:
XXR 530's in Chromium Black
or
XXR 526's in Gloss Black

They look 10 fold better than the other set.
You drive an 08 Z, and you're already saving money on your wheels as opposed to going with something like work or volk.
I think you should invest in coilovers as opposed to lowering on springs..
It'll make a lot of difference.
There's my .02

526's in my opinion, without a shadow of a doubt.

Sparco.. those look good on the PS chop.. rock em.. fk it.
they are as cheap as it gets.. and youre so low that the other things dont really matter man.. u know the deal, i mean you can "go fast", but its not like any of us are trying to race these cars when they are an inch off the ground, especially in so cal haha....
take memories pictures w the Works, then just sell em off..get cash, buy wheels that you can replace for 100 bucks a piece when/if you kill one on a pothole and are always in stock in the US.. its a no brainer.
My F14s took 2 months to make and ship to me .... Im buying the 526s next month so i can dent THEM and not my F14s.
Sounds stupid to most, but car guys ..we all get it.

i would have kept the works, but that's just me. what i hear from my friends is that XXR are a little on the softer side for a cast.. a college buddy was preparing to track his NSX with XXRs more but bent two after one event.. he had been streeting them the entire time and decided to goto the track and not switch out to his OEMs... that's just one data point, so take it with a grain of salt. i'm sure there are others that have had better experiences...
