Default What 18" wheels can clear 15"/380mm rotors??

I just upgraded my brakes to brembo 6pot with 380mm rotors and I realize most of the 18" wheels won't fit. I know for a fact that the TE37 will clear no problem since I have a set and tried it on. Does anyone know what other 18s will clear?

You are asking the wrong question. You should be asking what 18s will clear your calipers? All 18" wheels will clear your rotors, it's the calipers that will either hit the inner barrels or the spokes.

By the way I doubt anyone here can answer your question as I can't think of anyone here who has a Brembo 6 pot caliper with 380 mm rotors.

I'm in the process of moving to 18" wheels.
I have stock gt-r brakes - 380mm rotors and 6/4 calipers
you'll have to take each on a case by case basis.
Unfortunately there are only a handful of us runnin
the big rig.

Everything I've tried requires at least a 5mm spacer
so far. I'm considering rpf1s, ce28, gtc01, te37sl,
rg2, sar, rz etc... As I locate I will update.

OP - contact Brembo for the diagram of your kit, and then contact the manufacturers of the wheels you're considering to verify fitment. My guess is you're going to strike out with anything short of a TE37, CE28, LMGT4's and TCII *discontinued*, all of which have the largest inner clearance of any 18's I've seen, as far as off the shelf wheels go.

Then the other options are custom multipiece, depending on your particular style/budget

Keep in mind you are going to have very little caliper to wheel clearance with these setups, which you may find compromises overall performance (from a heat standpoint)

this is why we need th eenkei rc-t4 in 18x9.5" +15 avail...

these clear, but are not in production (sans two on ebay).

they'd be super cheap too... (see blue endless z33 on white rc-t4 from jgtc)...

wait, I thought that 19" is required for that setup.

My OEM 19s barely clear the Rotora 380mm/8pot setup (Diameter wise)

nope depending on your caliper you can clear most (recall i am on brembo
gt-r 6/4), however you'll have to test your own...

I don't own a 350z...so 19" will look hideous on my car..

I am not on GTR 6/4 set up. Mine is Cayenne S with custom bracket. 380/345. I am going to test out the following and see how they'll fit.

Soo you don't own a Z and you have a kit from another car with a custom bracket. I'll be blunt in asking this, were you seriously expecting a legit answer to your question by way of this forum or was this thread created more so to show off your brakes?

The only people who will benefit from this thread are those who fit all the of below criteria:
  • 1993 R32 Skyline GTR
  • Cayenne S Front and Rear Brakes (380/345) with custom brackets to fit aforementioned R32 model.

My point is when looking for wheel clearance in regards to brakes certain measurements such as caliper offset, rotor offset, hub protrusion are key in whether or not a specific wheel will work with a specific set of brakes. Since you are running a completely different car with a completely one off set of brackets your not going to find your answer by way of this forum.

My suggestion would be to find a set of 18" wheels that YOU like and then find the right sized spacer for brake clearance.

Just letting you know, r32/33/34 shares similar front set up as 350z/G35. One use 12mm bolt and One uses 14mm. If someone do the same conversion on a 350z /G35, they will run into the same problem just so you know.

Regardless of caliper design, a 380mm bbk kit will have similar dimension +/- couple mm. This thread will be a good reference for those who runs 380mm and want to stay 18" for track.

Anyways, I do appreaciate your help. I will try different wheels on and see the inner diameter will clear them.
So for those who wants to run 380mm rotors, I'll be the guinea pig and try different wheels on and I'll update you guys on it.

OP - At the very least I will find it useful... Also, you should try to fit your
fabbed bracket onto a Z33... This is a cheap, big, bk and might be of some value
to Z33 owners...

Can you shoot the bracket design? Our calipers look significantly different.
How'd you go about fabbing them?

380 is huge. You can try the ST template, but I think that all the ST kits at this size require 19" wheels: http://www.stoptech.com/tech_info/te...88-2680-00.pdf
