Arp Extended Studs
I am looking to buy some Extended Studs for my 350z for easier removal/installation when drifting. I have read a lot of people recommend that ARP makes the best ones but am not 100 percent sure. Anyone have experience with them?
Also where can I buy these studs, I only find Nismo's and I heard they are not very good and Ichibans which I have not seen any remarks about
Someone help I have an event in two weeks that I need studs for!

Nismo's aren't very good?!?!?!
I can't imagine Nismo would sell something subpar, and i think they run them on their track cars don't they?
I' asking not bashing. If anyone knows anything about the nismo's speak up because i'm about to buy them.

Holy chit! There huge!
The thing i like about the nismo's is that i can get them only 10mm longer to accomodate a 10mm sapcer and still use standard lug nuts.
I don't suppose you can do that with the arp's with different lengths?

what lugs are u using?
I prefer open ended lugs, should I just get some steels from oreillys? or something better? dont care about looks, all for reliability and ability to change quickly/often during drift days without breaking/stripping

Certainly makes me wonder though!
Does ARP make different length lugs or just the one big ones?

what other options would one have if the ARP's are too long, I am planning on running McGard SplineDrive lugnuts with DPE wheels.
And from the looks of it in this picture the ARP lugs are too long and I would have to run open ended lugnuts which I don't wanna do.
I'm not planning on doing any racing whatsoever, but the wheels are gonna be pretty heavy 3 piece so I want the strongest bolts I can get

^ why not help me out instead of commenting on how wrong I am.
all I was trying to get at is that the ARP studs require open ended lugs, and I don't want to run open ended lugs, I want something that the McGard SplineDrive lugs can fit on.
so can anybody help me out, I would really appreciate it I have been researching this for a few weeks now..
and I was set on getting the Nismo 50mm extended but now after reading they snap, I am once again back at square one!

i woudln't waste my time putting on anything else than arps.. arps are the leading company in fastners.. never had any complains with them. if you don't want to run opened ended lug nuts, keep them stock.

So, i was just reading up in the auto x section. And although there is mention of the nismo ones snapping it is generally due to overtorqueing, as they use a harder metal in the nismo's than stock, there elastic limit will be lower.
However, it is still a bit concerning.
Would it be acceptable to trim the ARP's? Could i just get a hacksaw on them and trim them back to the exact length i want?

^ dude I'm thinking the exact same thing myself, just trim them down from 70mm to 50mm, but I wasn't planning on using a hacksaw, lol, I don't think that would even come close to working.
get your dremel and some heavy duty cutoff discs out, maybe even that expensive diamond cutting wheel

Hell, let's just get stupid and buy a lathe! lol! (just kidding)
I was thinking, maybe a fine tooth saw with a guide to keep it straight, and then file the end to round it off slightly. I don't see why that wouldn't work.
