Haha I guess I get what you guys are saying after I stared at it for a while. But yea 95% of people won't even notice it. And the other 5% are people who are graphic designers haha.
VQ, rules of typography are as bad as politics. 2 people can argue back and forth and never agree on anything other than it is indeed a word. But moforeynolds has great points and I'm glad to hear them. We both have mixed feelings about the logo but agree on others. It's hard in the world of Graphic Design for one designer to please everyone. Just like everything else in the world. When designers collaborate, sometimes it's success and sometimes it's conflicting.
If you study typography and train your eye to see little flaws it will soon become second nature to just look at something and ideas and opinions come spewing out.
I like the logo, yes. Does it need work, VERY MUCH SO. Do I think the audience it's directed toward will like it? I believe so. It needs polishing and it will then be a much stronger, and as moforeynolds said "concrete" and stand with authority. Right now it is just a logo formed by negative space. I will be anxious to see if any corrections are made when the printed decals are made. I won't hold my breath though.
