Default Nitto NT05r Thread

Hey guys, sorry if this has already been posted. I searched nt05r and came up with nothing.

Has anyone tried these DR's at the track? They are suppose to barely surpass the MT ET Street Radial II, but thats saying something considering those are about the best DR's you can currently get. Just wanted to know if anyone has tried them out and opinions on them.

I do not know about the nt05r, but there are a few reviews on the nt05. Unless I have them confused or they are the same thing. Either way, I have seen them on here. All i remember is that they are liked by the Z community and they have limited sizes. For example they do not make stock sizes for the 18inch rims.

There have been 2 review threads on here regarding the NT05, search for 'em.

The nt05 and the nt05r are two totally different tires. The nt05r's also come in 285/40 18's. They are drag radials, versus the nt05's are merely a street tire. Im just looking for more grip on the track. Unfortunately there are zero threads on this tire...

I apologize Nismo, I missed the "r" at the end of the tire and you are correct in that they are quite different tires. Unfortunately I don't have any information on this tire and don't recall seeing any threads on it either.

Good luck!

nittos are never as sticky as MT's. if you want the best grip, get the MTs
