Lovely car. Please tell us what size tires you have on the wheels, front and rear. Thanks.

Thanks Mantronix, and I love your screen name. Those guys are great (I'm assuming your name is in reference to the classic hip hop group).

I'm running Toyo T1-S all around and the fronts are 245/35/19 while the rears are 275/35/19. This still falls within Toyos reccomended tire / wheel width but it is on the upper end for a 9.5 inch front and 10.5 inch rear wheel, so you will get that stretched look. This is also the combo many of the Japanese tuners are running in magazine like Hyper Rev which is the look I am shooting for.

I wouldn't run tires that narrow on those wheels... be prepared to scar the rim easily since there is no tire there to protect it. Personally, I like a look that has a little more tire that protects the edge of the rim...

Cool, thanks for the sizes. I'm trying to figure out what I want to do in the spring regarding wheels and tires. I have a few constraints, like:

SSR Comp or Volk (I've had good first-hand experience with SSR, and I've read good things about Volk)
I'd like 9 inches wide in front
I'd like at least 10 inches wide in rear
I'm not lowering the car, I like stock heights
I don't want to have to roll the fenders!
Must have the big lip on rear rim like you do
I hadn't considered the stretched look, but your car looks good with it. With that much stretch, I'd be a little concerned about scraping the rim and cornering performance though. Actually, I'd never scrape the rim, I'm careful of things like that. But fewer g's on the skidpad would bug me a little...

Another mantronix fan! Yeah I loved their music and still do. Too bad all the classic records are out of print. There's a website about Kurtis Mantronik by a guy in Norway I think. It's pretty informative. If I could fit mantronix on a license plate, I would.

hey apharmdb ...the last pic you posted is great...but can you take the same exact pic exept of the rear wheel...take more than one angle..but close up..cause im convinced that you can fit it without rolling and ppl say it cant be done

Well, seeing people post that 10.5" rear with +22 offset works on our car without rolling really pisses me off!! I was told by not only john350z but a vendor that this setup "required" the rear fender to be rolled and that even the 10.5" +35 rear was likely to need rolling. I had ordered the 9.5" +22 fronts and 10.5" +22 rears until I was told this and changed my mind because I did not want to roll my fenders. I really wanted that setup from the very beginning and wanted a more aggresive look.

Yeah no problem. I'll try to take it very soon. Also keep in mind that my car is not lowered yet so clearance isn't an issue right now.

right.thats good cause thats what we are trying to figure out...if it would fit without rolling on stock height...since you already rolled we can only make an estimate by the picture....

i know what you can do.....feel the part of the front fender (the part that was rolled in the back) and tell us if u think it would rub in back if that piece wasnt rolled

its funny how im so concerned with this...i already have wheels...its just something that bothers me

plus some guy in the beggining of the thread said that he has the same setup without rolling

i think the ROLLING is just one big RUMOR

anyone agree

I looked at my 9.5" rears with +22 offset, and by guesstimating them out another 1/2", I think they will fit without rolling. Damn.....I would have liked 10.5" rears.

I am extremely interested in this-- I love zzzya's LE37's and I am planning on getting them this spring---- but I REALLY want the 10.5 rears w/+22 offset HOWEVER-- I Don't want to have to roll the fenders- Stock height is fine, I'm over 6' tall and the car is low enough as it is!!!
So: I'm hoping that someone will definitively confirm that the 10.5 +22 offset rears clear and are A-OK!! There seems to still be some speculation and all- hope we can resolve it before the thaw!!!hehehe

I have talked to people with the 10.5 +22 set up. And I was told that the rear will rub. They are running the 275x35x19 tire set up.
Mackin (Volk Importer) are recommending the 9.5 in the rear with +22 set up. They want to be conservative, they don't want people get mad at them after they have rubbing issues. But at the same time, they bring over wheels with 19x10.5 +22 and +35 in their warehouse.

Consider this, what kind of tires are we running? Which the way tire wall shapes make a very big difference on the rubbing. Also, are we conservative driver? or aggressive driver? That will put a lot of load on the car and sometimes cause rubbing? Plus would you count the bumps and pot holes that you hit on the highway as "rubbing"?

We all know that the 19x10.5 +22 will have no rubbing with the fender rolled. Now would the +22 be okay with out the fender rolled? Can anyone step up and answer this questions. Please also fill in with picture please. Also if your car is lowered or not. And what kind of tires are you running.

Thank you

Here's a link to my Volk for sale thread. Just look at all of the available offsets and set ups that Volk (Mackin) uses for the 350z.
