Decision on tire sizes for rota torque 18x9.5 +20 all around
I have decided to go with tire sizes 275/40/18 all around. Can anybody tell me if there is a possibility that I will rub in the front with this tire size (stock height). Thank you guys, you've been great help
I've got the same size wheel setup with 255/35/18 up front and 275/35/18 in the rear. I wish I had a these same widths in a 40 series. I've considered putting the 275/35 up front, but wouldn't go with a 275/40.

I really don't care about rotating as much as I care about my car's looks, since I don't plan to lower my car.
- I used a tire calculator to compare my current 225/50/17 tire in the front to a 255/40/18 tire and there is only 0.7% difference between them. So I think I will go with the 40 series in the front rather than the 35.

That's a pretty big height difference between front and rear. I would recommend 255/40 or 275/35 up front if you are set on a 275/40 rear. If you want to be able to rotate 285/35 or even 275/35 for that matter would be better than 275/40.
Ok final decision is: 275/35/18 in the front and 275/40/18 in the rear. Please give me opinions.

Awsome setup, Istan has been running that tire setup for years on his stock height ZR. Looks great.
Teo,
Here are two setups that it seems you have mentioned are most likely for you. The first one is what I would go with as it puts both tires just a smidgen taller than stock. The second setup actually puts the front a smidgen smaller and then your rear is that same smidgen larger.
255/40/18 front, 275/40/18 rear.
275/35/18 front, 275/40/18 rear.
Since you are asking for opinions, here's mine. If I were buying tires for this wheel setup I would go with the first option. It would make more sense to me and would also give that extra bit of ride comfort up front with just a bit more sidewall to cushion impact.

wut? you guys are all wrong, STANCE NATION IN COORDINATION WITH STANCE WORKS IN DA HOUSE!!! alright here is what you need.. first you need 40mm spacers for that nice -20 offset. camber -4.5 all around. 195/20/18 in the front and 205/15/18 in the back. if your inner sidewall isnt touching the ground you aint stanced. if your exhaust and sideskirts dont drag on the ground, you aint stanced. we dont give a f about performance its all about the // \\ baby. as we say it, "one stance nation under god indivisible with scraping side skirts and negative camber for all!! stance nation in da house!!!!! boooyaaaaahhhh!!!
It looks great with stock or aftermarket suspension, is an great match to the OEM tire diameter, and performs well!I can't wait to see pictures of the new setup!

Hey Guys,
Bear with me it's my first post/question and I've searched and read an extreme amount of posts just time pressed and don't get to spend too much time on cpu or phone.
I have a 2005 non revup convertible(barely 6 weeks ownership) running on stock 17" OEM 7 spoke rims painted black. I need new rear tires, so I figure I might as well upgrade my wheels..... question time. Car is on stock suspension, BC coilovers in the spring.
I've been offered some good deals on some used but in very good condition wheels/tires.
(1) Option - setup is 20" Ruffino Zagata[5 spoke dual prong] (Front - 245/30zr20 90Y on Nfera SU1 Nexen / Rear - 275/30zr20 Durun)
(2) Option - Touren TR70 Black milled Spokes 20x8.5" offset 35mm (Tires are on a square setup of 255/35r20 Cratos Tires I believe)
(3) 18's at a Later date of my choosing...
Questions being how harsh a ride would the 20's be? Would the square setup cause chaos with TCS? Or should I avoid 20's due to tires popping, cost etc? I plan on tracking the car but not for a couple years, when that happens I'll definitely switch to 18's for now street and passionate driving.
