Tire/Valve Stem Problems
Cliff notes:
1)bought tires w/ 45k warranty from sams club
2)tires cant be rotated obviously
Problems:
1)I needed to put air in the back tire cause the tps went off. When i tried to unscrew the stem covers and i broke one off along with part of the thread. (Soon noticed that all 4 are corroded on)
2)My front tires at 3/4 gone with only about 12k on them so i will be cashing in on the warranty.
Questions:
1)Any ideas on how to get the other stem covers off without breaking them? Sams club said they wont touch them. But they will pay for the one that is broken.
2)If in another 12k miles my fronts are bad again will I be able to cash in again? Because technically id only be at 24k. I paid like $1000 for these damn tires i better get 45k out them.
3) Is there any way to prolong the life of the tires? The car is aligned. I got it done 2 times since i bought these tires.

I will take a picture next chance i get. But its really the thread of the valve stem (top 1/4 inch) that broke not the stem itself.

The cap and stem of the sensor are aluminum - not super strong but subject to corrosion. Get a little anti-seize grease and put it on the threads to keep the caps from galling and getting stuck on.
Regular alignments are really the only way to get a lot of life out of high performance tires. Not sure what type of tires you bought, but 45K from a HP tire on a sports car is a lot to ask for.

They are metal. and they said N2 on them....Is that was came on the car stock or not?
Good news is that sams club said they would replace 2 of my tpms units for free. Bad news is i still have 2 more that a corroded on...Im thinking about just taking it in and saying i need air in my front tires because really i do...
Also, I have 2 old ones already...Do you think there is a repair kit for them?

These are the ones I currently use, they got me through New England weather and have been fantastic so far but they weren't cheap. I also agree with what someone above mentioned about tires for life, it's a scam that I bought into with my last car and never paid out when I needed it so avoid anything like that if possible.
