Question 20" Tires ?

I am getting 20 inch wheels x 8.5 and x 10
Tire selection is slim.

I wanted to go with S0-3 245/35 275/35. but those sizes are not available in 20's
Only 245/35 275/30

If my calculations are correct, that would make the front tire 26.7 inches high and the rears 26.8 inches high.

How would that be ?

Anyone have a recommendation for a 35/20 series tires ?

35 series? on a 20" rim? you need like 30series front and back. 35 is what they use on 19" rims. 20"s should be 30 series without me working out the calculations.

Might cause problems if you have a VDC equiped car. Read some of the threads on sizing problems.

those sizes would put your overall diameter a full inch larger than stock... you WILL feel a difference in speed with a difference like that.

more searching I do, it looks like those with 20's are going with

245/35/20 front
275 or 285/30/20 rear

From what I've seen they really don't make the right 20s for our cars. (the Z and the G. The proper sizes would the 245/30 and 275/30. These sizes would maintain the correct stagger. The front, I believe, is the impossible size to find. The reason for this, IMO, is that the tire would have an extremly short sidewall, making the ride very rough, also, you may not have enough load carrying capacity with a 245/30/20. There just is not a good selection of 20s out there. Why not just stick with 19s?

Make sure the rim offset is right or you'll rub in the back!

for the back, in stock are either

20 x 10 +38 offset
or
20 x 10 1/2 31 offset
