BumpinJeep's lambo/fiero analogy was ridiculous. And then Kuhan says cheap wheels are cheap for a reason. What reason is that? When I bought my car in 2008 it had a set of Rotas on it. Between the previous owner and myself the wheels have about 20,000 miles on them. They're still round. They roll and look just fine.

You have stated your goal budget and there are several brands out there that fall into your budget. Unfortunately, you will find alot of people on here trying to talk you into spending more than desired on a used (and most likely curb rashed) Volks or Works.

The suggestion for Enkei RPF1s is a good one. There was a set for sale here locally with decent tires for about $1,800. You can find that type of setup for even less.

Either way, buy the wheel that you like that falls into your budget.

I am sure you kind find plenty of folks touting both Volk's and Rota's each for their own reasons.
This is some of the best advise on this thread.

I don't understand why people insist on pretending they own a ferarri when it's a NISSAN.

If you have no need for rims that are going to stand up to the abuse, then the rotas will do just fine.

3k baller wheels on a 20k car is nothing but bragging rights.

Get what you want bro.

No need to go into details about cheap vs quality wheels.

I want "braggin" right?....

I want to mod my Z the right way actually.

OP, if you want "braggin" right, then go with quality wheels. If you don't care much, then go with cheap wheels. Good luck.

Thanks guys, i usually get ignored on here, but i'm really getting some good info from you guys. I don't really care about bragging rights to be honest, i just want my car to look nice since i don't really track it. I like the Advan RS and the Work emotion Cr-Kais, and Rota does have "Look-alikes" of both these wheels. G-Force and Torque. I really wanna be different and go with white rims, just cause in my opinion, it looks clean. Now, the only thing i can't decide on is G-Force or Torque. Like i said before, my friend does have the torques, but they're 17s, and don't look nearly as good as an 18x9.5 but, the G-forces do look good as well. In you guys opinion, which wheel would look best in white, on mine? Thanks.

And if anyone can find a picture anywhere of a Red Z with white rotas, i'd appreciate it. I looked everywhere.

Of those two i would say
Torques > GForce
in white
their hyper black doesn't look bad either.

I just might save up 1500 for some works or something. Rotas are 1000, 500 bucks more bucks for works won't be too bad. White or bronze?

they would both look like sex. if you're goal is to stand out then go with the works. i honestly see too many z's in my area with rpf1's. just save up, do some more photoshopping, and get the wheels for your ride so you won't feel any buyer's remorse

order it before winter so it'll arrive in time for spring

didnt realize it was that close in price from the rotas --> works.
is that 17s or 18s (think 17 would be too small)
definately save the little extra for the works.
white.

Yeah, the torques in 18s are about 950, idk if that includes shipping. And the works are 1,500 shipped so, why not just get 500 more bucks and get the real thing. Hey man, do you know what size spacers would make the stocks sit flush but not rub? I was looking on the offical spacers thread and a guy did 25mm up front and 30mm in the back, and he bought Project KICS and they come with the extended studs already, so would that big of spacer rub? If i drop it on Tein-S-techs. (1.5 inch drop)

S-Tech springs don't give 1.5" drop maybe like .5-.75" drop on the 350Z. I ran Ichiba V2 20mm front and 25mm rear on my stock 18". 25mm around would probably be good start. Just make sure you don't over torque the bolts and nuts.

I'm running 18x9.5 +20 all around and the front is flush. Now if you look on some other threads many people have a different idea of flush. My setup with a 255/35/18 up front is just fine. Keep searching for pics of "flush" or "stretched" or "18x9.5" or whatever so you can get a better idea of what you really want.

Also, if you're pretty set on the CR-kai in white then you should really consider a used set. May save some money by snagging them in any color and just having them powder coated. That's if you have a good powder coat shop that doesn't charge an arm and a leg.

Thanks again guys. I'm looks for Project KICS spacers, probably 25mm and 30mm, what is a good website to buy these from? And also, what are some good lowering springs(cause i can't afford coilovers) that drops the car around 1.25/1.5?
