Default RAYS paint/powdercoat color ...codes?

Yo..

move it to wheels forum if necc.... but

I put this in interior exterior since Its more a finish question than it is a wheel question:

RAYS MAG BLUE..... how can i reproduce that on my Forgestar f14's?
.

I would love to roll this color on a set of Forgestars I will be picking up next month... sitting next to a flat black wrap, will be just what Im looking for.. but I just really cant go TE37 etc as IMm widebody and need a big #ss wheel w a low offset.

Anyone who paints or powdercoats ( or sells Rays wheels ) know how to duplicate that finish.. or at least come close etc?

I know they don't give out their color codes so you will have to get a shop to paint match the color.

Rays doesnt give out that kind of information. You can get close to a color by taking it to a good shop that knows what they are doing and hope for the best.

Default yup..

I assumed as much.. the point was to try to go one step past this information and see if anyone already HAD found a solution.

ie, to be able to supply a paint code and maufacturer they found to work/be similar.

ie, name of a shop that did it for them etc..

ill let the thread hang for a while.. hopefully Ill get a hit within the month.

I don't know if this will be any help, but you might give it a shot. Read a few posts down.

If manufacturers start giving out color codes & formulas, they might as well start selling decals and detailed plans for their parts too. That just makes it easier for clones and knockoffs to match their stuff.

Nissan's San Marino Blue is very close to Mag Blue. Paint code is BW5.

Remember that some of the finishes are multilayer, even if you match the tone, it will lack the depth of the genuine product.
