I'm not sure if this is the right section
Ok, My lugnuts on all 4 wheels are keep loosening, not much but you can still tighten more with 81ft/lbs. Yesterday, i tightened the rear lug nuts to 81ft/lbs and tonight i tried retightening the rear 81ft/lbs and i felt the nuts were loose. The nuts and wheels are all stock
I tightened the fronts as well, and they were surely loose.
What torque specification do you guys use to tighten stock rims? I saw some people using 85 ft/lbs. Do loosened lug nuts cause the car to make ummmm ummmm ummm sound when you slow down? cause mine does, not sure if it's caused by the loosened lug nuts though. It's not the wheel bearings because i checked all of them and got new one for rear right.

lug nuts don't normally get loose on their own - if they its because of one of three things - you didn't torque them down enough, something is vibrating around your wheel to loosen them (probably would be noticeable when driving/making it unable to drive) or someone is loosing your nuts.

Bad shocks or thin rotor surface have nothing to do with this right?

idk how damaged studs would look like. the nuts spin in and out very finely
how much or hard do you have to drive for the nuts to loosen little bit?

Did you buy the car new? If so, that would be the only way to know for sure that you have OEM lug nuts, wheels and studs. If you bought it used, there's no telling what the previous owner changed.
Take a lug nut off and post pictures of it from top, side, bottom.
Can you tell if there is grease or anti-seize lubricant on the studs? If there does appear to be something on them, you can try cleaning them with mineral spirits and a wire brush to remove anything coating them. Again, if a previous owner (or yourself) put something on the studs, that could allow them to work loose. Also, clean the seats at the bottom of the lug nut opening on each wheel. The metal there has to bind against the lug nuts to hold them in place.
I've torqued my lugs to 80ft/lbs and they don't come loose. I use McGard SplineDrive lugs, and I have Ichiba v2 wheel spacers on as well. Even before the spacers, the lugs worked the same way on the OEM studs...
must be all that hardcore drifting at redline you do
incorrect lugs (wrong seat angle), cheap torque wrench, or as David suggested - no telling what the car actually has on it if it was purchased used..have to start from the beginning

I've autocrossed and tracked my Z for 5+ years now and never had a lug nut come loose.

I don't think there are anti-seize on the studs especially on all four sides but will check it out tomorrow. I'll go take pics of the lugs tomorrow cause i'm pretty busy getting ready for tomorrow's chemistry test
i'll take pics of lugs tomorrow, and I use my $200 Proto torque wrench that i bought not too long ago for lugnuts
I bought the car used. Everything was OEM when i bought it , and since i do all the installation on my car, it seemed like everything was OEM.

Ok, i took some pics of the lug nuts and the thread.
At the tip of the studs, all four corners, there are some scratches which i assume is made by the deep end of the lug nuts.

Those do appear to be OEM lug nuts. If you thread them 1/2 way onto a stud (without the wheel on) is there any play in the nut, i.e. does it feel loose?
Also, can you thread the nut all the way on to the point where it is tight and is tight up againsts the rotor and hub or does it bottom out before that point?

What year is your Z? What wheels did it come with?
There are two types of lug nuts depending on model year, wheel type... CLICK HERE
If OP had the short style lug nuts, then I could see where he would have a problem with them bottoming out on long studs. Since he has the deep style, that's not a problem. If he's supposed to have the short ones, the problem could be with the long nuts not getting enough thread engagement.
