Default I have a brickyard red (burgundy) Z and i plan to lower and get rims on it! Help!!!

the brickyard red is basically like a purple, maroon, and burgundy. The car is tinted 20% tinted (thought that might help). What color rims would look good on it. Chrome, Black w/ polished lip, gunmetal, or Bronze wheels. and the car is going to be lowered too and

im also planning on painting my calipers, should i paint them bronze, red, black or purple.

Here are some wheel options.

1) Stern 18x8.5 all around
http://forums.evolutionm.net/sale-wh...-rt-615-a.html

2)R1 RACING Drift wheels 20x8.5(front w/ 3in. lip) 20x10(rear w/ 5in. lip) rimshttp://www.wheelsnext.com/wheels-rims/20_inch-r1%20racing-drift-black%20gloss.html

3) 350z anniversary rims 18x8 18x8.5

THANKS IN ADVANCED

well I've only been on this forum for a short time and even I know what with posts like this all you're going to get is comments from frustrated members,(rightfully so), that get asked the same type of questions over and over again.

just use the search tool.
here's a good thread to get some ideas or help you finalize your decision.

Something in gold, if done right, could look very nice.

I think you can do better then any of those 3 wheel choices so continue to look around.

I think the only color that is going to look right with your paint code is silver or gunmetal but GM is getting pretty played out at this point.

like ever1 said above, save up and pick up a nice set of used wheels rather than jumping in to something like wheel number 1..

IMO a set of 35th anniversary wheels with spacers to push them out close to flush looks very good...although I would say the problem doing that is your tires aren't getting any wider, so looking from the back you have 245 width tires pushed way out and it can look kind of weird.

I would do as other suggested, keep looking around, don't rush into anything. In the time it should take to make an educated wheel choice you should be able to save up some more money to eventually get something that is the proper quality and size (diameter, width, offset) that you need.

Regarding color, something like mercury silver (Rays / Volk), formula silver (Rays / Volk) or burning black (Work) would look very nice on brickyard. Of course, a standard bright silver color would always look nice.

Please stay away from chrome.

Well, you messed up by putting your age, but I'll look past it to give you my opinion.

I have a Brickyard, too and I've got your option 3 and that's the one I'd go with if I were you. Mine are painted black and it's actually a pretty sweet look. I really like the look of those wheels, but as someone mentioned before, they need spaced out a bit to be flush. I have 255 wide tires on the back and they fill out a little better, but they're still not where I want. One of these days I'll get it all sorted out.

I have pictures in my album, but the brickyard color doesn't show very well in those pics.

Oh, and as for painting the calipers, don't. Maybe just give them a nice bath with brake parts cleaner. I see too many nice cars with crappily painted brake calipers.

Look at rota or MB wheels. They both have cheap wheels that aren't complete crap and ridiculously heavy.

https://my350z.com/forum/wheels-and-...heel-on-z.html

You will have to get some spacers around 25mm for the rear and 15mm up front.

Rota's will run you a bit more then your $800 mark. You should keep an eye out in the for sale section. I got my Real wheels for a killer deal from another member.
