well, according to the discount tire direct post at the top of this section, it is recommended that you either run a 265 or a 275. probably 40 series.
What will happen with the 255's? I dont know. But my friend just had a 245 mounted on a 9.5 and you can see some of the rim exposed that is supposed to be covered by the tire.
You are probably better off going with a wider tire or a narrower rim. Just my opinion... I am no expert, but just from what i have seen and read.

I think it will fit... however I fail to see any good reason to do that combo, either get a thinner rim if you want to run a 255 tire(less weight on the rim for the same amount of traction) or run a wider tire(if your gonna have the wider rim, take advantage of it no?
wide rim narrow tire seems like the worst of both worlds. the idea of having the heavier wider rim is to have more rubber.

yeah either they wanna use what they have(tho that should be 245s not 255s) or maybe they just cant find the right sizes, which is a reasonable problem, but a bit of a harsh call, Id find the tire somewhere or wait for it till I could get the right one.
but definitly been alot of these threads lately, I know its some kind of style in japan, goes along with the decals, and the 2 different rims on front and back.

My guess is that people are trying to save a few bucks on tires by using tires that they alreay have. Given that the Falken FK451s are such a great value, I do not see the point.

Might be because several Japanese tuners such as Top Secret, Amuse, Mine's, etc. are running tire / wheel combos that are near the upper limits with good results. This was certainly the case for me when I started looking around for consistent information regarding tire and wheel sizes and everything kept coming up the same with the Japanese tuners. However with that being said, I haven't seen anything as extreme as 255 on a 10 inch wheel, which is what the original post was about.
