Default Tire Sensor Light

Hey guys i have a question? So i got new tires put on my car about a month ago and ever since then the right rear tire sensor hasnt been reading, which causes the tire light to be on. ANNOYING! anyway i brought it back to where i got the tires put on and asked them to check the sensor and why the light was on. So he checked it then he said well in some nissans and infiniti's the computer will stop reading the sensor so i have to bring it to the dealership to get the "computer" read. What do you guys think? Has anyone heard of this before? I really dont want to go there because they will charge me out the rear because its the dealership. Any info will help.

thanks!

TPMS sensor. Where'd you get your tires replaced? Reputable place?

You can get it reset but the more likely scenerio is that they broke then sensor when mounting the new tires.

The sending unit in the wheel is broken.

or

Nissan will program TPMS to read the sending unit.

Go to the tire shop and tell them that the TPMS worked before they installed the new tires and now it doesn't - it's on their dime. Nissan can confirm this, but it will cost you money. Like others said, they probably broke it, which is sadly not uncommon.
