I'm not a fan of the 615's, but if they had 275/40 17's at those prices I would have bought a set today.

I am guessing the sale has something to do with the new 615K tread compound available. The K's are supposed to be pretty good. (haven't driven a set yet though)

fyi: earlier this morning it said sold out. i refreshed it and it said In Stock and got my order in. I'll chime in if i get any confirmations of shipment.

This is going to be just like the RE-01/RE-11 replacement two years ago. The RE-01s were let go cheap. If you needed a replacment, all you can find is an RE-11 and you usually had to buy two so you weren't mixing them on the same axle. Keep that in mind when buying closeouts.
