Default Road salt question.

Okay, i did a bit of searching, but couldn't find what i was looking for. I'm planning on putting my wheels on today, and needed some advice. It snows a little bit around here, so there is gonna be some salt on the roads after its all over. After i drive, will a quick spray off with a hose of the wheels assure the wheel doesn't get messed up from the salt? Or will the salt even hurt it at all? And maybe what do some of ya'll do to protect your wheels from the salt? Thanks guys.

No big deal. Wheels are often clear coated. Wax as you do the car. Once a week in a touch less car wash is good.

I will. They're actually going on today. Waiting for them to be mounted right now!

Washing salt off the car at any juncture is always a good thing. The less time it has on your wheels, car ,etc, the less time it has to harm your finish. Road salt was a culture shock to me when I moved to Richmond 6 years ago from Atlanta.. I had to learn quickly.

if your rim is properly powercoated you shouldn't have to worry about salt damaging or corroding it. but i wouldn't let the salt sit on the wheel. wash and rinse it before you park it overnight.
