Default Need advice on tire size for wide rims

I'm getting a set of rims that are 19x10, 19x12...what size tires would be good to use on these specs? i will need to run stretch tires to avoid rubbing but safety is an issue for i live in Pot-hole city of Boston, Mass. I was originally told to do 235/35/19 fronts and 265/35/19 rears...is it possible to do 255/40/19 rears? what are my alternatives to the original size i mentioned??? thanks ahead...

I was gonna say I wouldnt do a 265 on a 12, but then I saw you have -10 offsets in the rear now I dont think a 265 is stretched enough, lol, youre gonna pull your rear fenders right ??

I think what VQpowered was getting at when asking about offsets was your question is about stretching tires to clear your fenders and not rub, so knowing offsets tells you how much the wheels stick out past the fender. Without that information I don't think anybody would be able to tell you what tire stretch you need to clear your fenders because you don't know exactly how far they do stick out. Otherwise it would seem you're stretching for no specific reason, which I know you're not, not with those offsets budday, lol, your wheels will look sick you got good taste though.

here is a 255/35 front 10.5 and 285/30 rear 12.5
hope the closeup helps you with tire choices... btw my tires are Nexen N3000's and I will be going with a 245/35 for the front later, wanted a bit more stretch up there.

Not to thread jack, but im in the same situation. My rim sizes are 20x9 +5 nd 20x11 -10. Im not looking for a agressive stretch..

I just installed coilovers few days ago so I'm waiting for the springs to settle before I drop it another inch to tuck some tire. I still have to do a mild pull on my rear fenders to make it work if I wanna tuck a bit of tire.

But you can do 275/35 would be awesome for your 12, you don't have to stretch crazy look at my pic below 12.5 +5 offset with a 285/30 tire
So with the suspension setup you got right now the height you would probably get is exactly what you see in the pic here, so it will definitely work

Says the guy who didn't think offset mattered? Offset is everything when asking wheel/tire fitment questions.

Are coilovers in your near future? Camber/toe arms?

I ask because this set-up is going to look straight dumb with factory camber and GF210 fender gap/stretched tires.

Very nice wheel selection though.

Post your set-up in the stretched tire thread - they'll know best.
