pink and chrome is not a good color combo. Look into varrostens (sp*). Really nice affordable wheels. Look for them in vendor classifieds.

wow that's terrible advice.

i don't mind your choice. just consider how much you'll be sinking -
wheels + tires/mount/bal + alignment + spacers/studs (unless you get perfect offsets)

stick with your intuition and don't buy FAKE garbage.

how's that for advice

Spend some time in the Wheels/Tires forum and learn about what works and what doesn't That will help guarantee that you do it right

Welcome. Find a wheel that you like and fits your budget. No need to ask "Will this look good?" I am not your mother.

Why are varrstoens garbage? I've never heard of them breaking under decent power like rotas do. Just asking

Do it right the first time or your fake wheels will be joke topics at car meets.

My question is--------what constitutes a fake wheel? The Jlines are forged wheels and they don't appear to be copies of anything. They are certainly not cheap wheels either. I don't care for the pink chrome wheels, but Jline has some good looking wheels.

We can all agree that Varrstoen has made exact copies of the TE37 and the CE28. I doubt Varrstoen would ever come up with the wheel design on their own.

Theres always wheels out there that look similar to other wheels, that doesn't make them fake, just similar. I'm sure we all can agree the Varrstoen's are exact copies of the TE37/CE28 without the real benefits that Volks offer (forged, lightweight etc.).

Theres only a certain amount of times I think I can write or explain the Varrstoen vs. the real deal. I'm positive this will be my last comment on the issue.

The Jlines are definitely made better than the Varrstoens. Call JLine up and see what the price would be for a set of wheels, then its your call from there.

I actually really like the design of the Jline wheel you have a picture of. I'm not too sure about the pink but I think overall it looks pretty nice, and I haven't seen them on a Z yet.

+1 i haven't heard any cracking issues either so far from people on other forums. just because they're replicas doesn't mean they're poorly made, however i'm not the replica type of consumer. Even if i spend a few grand on the real high quality brand names, it makes me feel good and assured knowing that i have the real stuff.

Yeah i definitely see where you're coming from about the real stuff. But even on other forums haven't heard of varrstoens cracking or breaking. Just because you are saving a few pounds of unsprung weight, and better strength with the forging, i don't think it constitutes a reason for a wheel to be called garbage.

LOL you know me too well

He wants J-Lines he should know you can't just buy those and slap them on. He has to think about suspension, tires, and camber to pull it off.
