Question Tire Size Help - again.

Ordered tires today, 370Z wheels so the shop just chose the OEM sizes, but having read the stickied thread I come up with a size difference that violates the 3% rule (3.2%).

Can someone just verify my math for me before I have a stroke while trying to convince them to change the tire order tomorrow morning?

I own a 2008 Touring (if it makes a difference)

ordered tire sizes are 245/40/19 fronts and 275/35/19 rears.

If my math is correct, then I need them to change the fronts to 245/35/19s and that will work.

Can someone confirm that the ordered tire sizes wont work and that the one I just listed would?

Thanks

245/40-19" is taller than 275/35-19", making your front tires taller than the rears. This arrangement causes faulty operation of VDC and ABS on your Touring model.

So... the setup you ordered will not work. Cancel your order.

245/35 or 255/35 is the front tire you want

^^ Well... OK then David... But I think we have handled this adequately and do not need a redirect. Problem solved.

Was there something you want to add to this?
