Alternatives to RPF1?
So I love the look of the Volk GTS, but I love the weight of the rpf1 (sbc). I want them both, but the wallet says no. Are there any options with the GTS look but the rpf1 weight?
Won't be shelling out the money for new wheels till next year since I got an aerosync front and chargespeed rear at the body shop with the car right now. But I'm researching now.
I've been searching and failing.
Minor details: 2005 Chrome Silver with stock 17s. So either choice is a huge upgrade.

a set of 18" volk gts would probably weigh pretty close to a set of 18" rpf1 no?

Well most of Weds wheels fit the bill in terms of price, design, and weight. Check them out.

The Work Emotion line, cheap and light-weight.
They have 3 or 4 different spoke designs with offsets for Z's.

Those are by far my favorite WEDS model... I've seen some advertised in the classified section.

Those are a solid choice as well... for some reason I always forget them even though they're nice overall wheels.

work emotion wheels have nice designs but are way heavier compared to the enkei, ssr, volks, etc.

The Enkei GTC01 is a great alt, but has slightly different sizing. The PF01 has identical sizing as RPF1 with a similer price

near? Give me some weights of the GTS line for comparison in 18x9, 9.5, 10, or 10.5. Maybe it's all how we define "near".

just called a mackin industries dealer. gave me the following sizes and weights.
volk gts 18x7.5or8 cna't remember but 23 lbs and rear
18x9 is 25lbs
rpf1 18x9.5 is 18.9 lbs
GTS are nice wheels, obviously a better looking wheel but not for weight savings if it's your number one concern.

Ah. I took your statement to imply that the Volks were way
lighter than the RPF1. They are clearly much heavier.

SuperBlack350Z hit it right. Depends on what you are looking for. For a guy concerned about looks, a 6Lb difference in weight is not a big deal. Also the GTS will come in lighter compared to other wheels in the SAME 2 piece design. My car is a weekend pleasure garage queen. Going with the GTS was an easy choice
