Default Same wheel widths a problem?

I know the fronts are 7.5 inches wide and the rears are 8 inches wide. Do most replace the stock wheels with wheels of the same width or do most try to maintain the 0.5 inch difference?

I was considering using all 8 inch wide rims for snnow tires. Thanks.

Your talking about the 17s, right? The 18s are 8" all the way around, and the tracks are 8" front and 8.5" rear. If your keeping the 17s, and using the stock sizes, yes I would recommend using the stocks widths, however 8" in front would work, if you kept the offset at somewhere around the stock setting which I believe to be +33mm.

The factory non-Rays 18s are 18x8 all the way around so, you should be fine if you use the factory tire sizes.

I think the thing here is not so much the wheel width as it is the tire width, as long as you maintain the differences in tire widths, you will keep the handling you are used to.

If you get same width tires you will lose some of that understeer that can keep you out trouble.
