Tire time! Pilot Super sport, RE-11, S-04?
Current setup:
Fronts: 19x9.5, +22, 255/35/19
Rears: 19x10.5, +22, 275/35/19
PS2's all around
My rear tires are just getting down to the wear bars, but starting to show cords in the center, and traction for acceleration is gone.
Front tires are worn 50%, so they are staying for now.
I wanted to go with a 285/35/19 in the rear since the 275's had trouble putting 297 WHP to the ground, even with fresh meat. I would eventually replace the fronts with 265/35/19's
With the PS2, going from 275 to 285 costs $150 more PER TIRE!!! Just because it's a Ferrari fitment.
PSS are priced a little less, but only come in the 275, no 385 yet. I was hoping to hold out to see what the PSS 285 pricing would be, but I need to pull the trigger. Might the PSS 275 improve traction through 1st?
Anyway, there's always the RE11 and the S-04, although I have seen little to no feedback on the S-04. THat and there is a 5-lb weight penalty for each of the Bridgestones, vs PS2 or PSS.
So, I am coming here for opinions. I do track occasionally, but I do that on the stockers, not on my beloved gloss black LE-37's.
I am afraid I would wear out the RE-11 in no time. I am a very aggressive occasional back-road street driver.
My Bicycle is my DD
Thanks!
I know! Please, no lowering comments

Vendor - Former Vendor
I honestly would not mix any of those with the PS2's remaining on the car. Michelin specifically says not to mix the S-Sports with PS2's and the RE-11 is in a much higher performance class than the PS2. I would either buy a full set of the same all around or another pair or PS2's especially if the car driven that hard where its most vital all is balanced front/rear.

EDIT: These things list for $622 apiece on tire rack
