Default DON'T EVER BUY FROM MACKIN INDUSTRIES.....

Here we go again!!! I received my wheels this afternoon that Mackin was SUPPOSED to fix. They've had them for almost 7 weeks and they sent them back to me in same condition as they got them in. I am soooooooo aggrevated with Mackin right now I could scream. I have had nothing but problems with them since I ordered the rims back in late February - since then I have had them on my car for 3 1/2 weeks. I ordered them in late February and the first set came in July and a wheel was bent. I sent the 2 front wheels back to Mackin and GMP kept the rears. I received the second shipment in late September (7 MONTHS after the initial order). I had them on my car for 3 1/2 weeks and the polished lip discolored on both front rims. I sent them back to Mackin for them to look at and they refused to warranty them but said that they will pay for 1 to be fixed and I would be responsible for the other one. I said that was ok. Now I receive the wheels and they never even touched them. They're UNBELIEVABLE!!!! They shouldn't be allowed to be in business. I would NEVER buy another thing from Mackin and wouldn't refer them to my worst enemy. Honestly, if you are even thinking about Volk wheels DON'T BUY THEM. Look at HRE, BBS, RH or somthing else. Mackin Industries should not be allowed to do business in the USA, maybe they can get away with this crap in Japan!! I hope ALL of the people in this forum take my advice and DON"T BUY FROM MACKIN INDUSTRIES!!!!!! I can't get a straight answer from anyone over there. The ONLY person that has helped me was Todd with Discount Tire - he's been great in trying to sort this mess out. Mackin isn't even communicating with the distributer that I bought the wheels from in Charlotte (GMP Performance). They have left no less than 10 emails, phone calls and faxes for Eddie at Mackin with not one response in over 5 weeks. Maybe they know they have pissed off allot of people and don't want to face the music, I don't know. Again, think twice about Volk and Mackin Industries. Thanks for listening to me rant - happy driving.

Bent rim and then the replacements discolored.

Thanks for the warning. I would love a set of GT-C's, but I am also looking at others.

Mackin Industries is the ONLY importer for Volk wheels. There are other distributors but only ONE importer.

yeah thats what I meant, I didnt know they even sold to the public; and it would have been my guess they just acted as middle man to volk for the fix...

or a clerical error and they never got replaced or fixed.

Mackin is a nightmare. you talk to them and they say one thing, call them back and its something else. if they werent the only Volk importers in the US they would have been out of buisness. sometimes you can get lucky and bypass them if you know someone in Japan. maybe a little more but then you can deal with Volk in Japan and bypass their horibble service.

I was hell bent on getting Volk rims.

But this thread kinds of does it...

I have heard so many bad things about this company and customer service on a few boards now... I will be looking at some other rims for a while...

Wow.....I was planning on upgrading my TE37's (which are flawless) to LE37's with a wider rear rim. Hmmmmmm...maybe I should quit while I'm ahead with Volks.

wow...These rims are sooo expensive and to me when a person buys these rims, its like an investment or a like a downpayment.
How do they stay in business?
Im pretty sure 75% of the cost of these wheels are going to Makin's pockets.
How young are the owners?
Seems like this company is runned by "Save by the Bell" kids ova there?
Im sorry to hear about all the trouble bro...let us know when u get new wheels from a comany runned by people who cares about their customers.

don't deal with mackin directly, deal with one of the vendor's on this board and you won't have this problem.
