20's with a decent offset will require you to roll your fenders. but with a stock body 20's will look a little out of place IMO. i would play it safe with 19's. most common stance is 19x9.5F 19x10.5R..and keep the offset between +15 to +24 if you want that flush look without camber. and there's no point in buying a high offset wheel to accommodate your spacers...anyone will tell u that. if you're buying wheels buy them with proper fitment.

like others have said..sell the spacers..sell the wheels and tires..go back to stock. doesn't make sense to drop from stock 18's to aftermarket 17's.

Damn it kid. Do some research 1st.... Hindsight is always 20/20 I guess, you know you messed up.

Advise... Exactly what VQ said. RESEARCH and get exactly what you want this time around so you don't waste any money. 9.5" and 10.5" is the standard now day on the Z. Something around +20 to +12 offset with 265/35 front and 285/35 rear and you'll be sittin nice.

Like everyone's saying, buy wheels already in the proper offsets and widths and sell the spacers. You'll be happier, they'll look better, and if eventually you sell the wheels their resale will be much higher than those with poopy offsets and widths.

Research before purchase is the name of the game, especially with the cost to play for Z's. Glad to see you are looking at modding your car, it is a fun hobby. Just put the time in and do the research so that your modding moves your car towards the spectrum rather than the Also, my experiences have taught me that it is better to buy authentic/quality/etc. etc. the first time and pay for it then rather than to try and cut corners/buy replicas/buy the "wrong" part or the one you didn't want and then buy the better stuff afterwards! I look at it this way, I plan on having my car for a lot of years. I'd rather make it a little longer of a project, take some extra time to have the money to do it right than rush, botch it and have it turn out worse than I had hoped! You have a pretty clean canvas with your car, just add the right things to it from here on out!

I don't recommend 20's, they look donk unless slammed and even then few pull it off. I don't know if those are even remotely desirable offsets either with the small sidewalls you will have, you can stretch tire but not rim. Tires will also be much more expensive. I recommend 18's or 19's for the Z's, even 19's can be sort of expensive with tires though. Maybe consider enkei rotas or varrstoens in 18". That way you at least are getting decent looking wheels in reasonable offsets for the Z. wheeldude.com also has many pictures of the Z's with their different wheels, can give you a better idea as to what you're purchasing so you don't make a mistake again!

(sorry about the rotas/varrstoen guys, I rock volks but can understand someone wanting to take a less expensive route. Please don't argue real vs. rep with me )

Do NOT buy wheels (+40 )so you can use the spacers! Get the proper offset (+25..+20) and sell the spacers. You can sell em here no problem.

Stop considering the spacers in your next purchase now. And please stay clear away from 20"

Just start fresh, ask us for advice before you buy, listen to what we say before you buy.

Ok well I have it narrowed down to the xxr 006 and the xxr 526

xxr 006 19x8.5 2" lip front 19x9.5 3.5" lip

xxr 526 18x9 +25 and 18x10.5 +20

I am leaning towards the 526. I love mesh wheels and 18's look like they fit great on the Z..

Except the touring's come with 18's... so either you don't know which trim you have or someone swapped your wheels for 17's (which came with base and enthusiast trims). I'm glad that that's all you managed to pick-up from my advice though.

It could be the 5AT Touring came with 17's. I'm actually willing the bet on it.

doesnt matter if its spacer or wheel, having more of the wheel itself carryng the weight of the car away from the center of the wheel creates elverage, and thats the only thing that affects the bearings like that. What you should REALLY be worried about is the hubcentricity. The weight of the car sitting is NOT supposed to sit on the studs.. its supposed to sit around your hub centerbore evenly.

If you bought non hubcentric wheel spacers, vibration is not what you should worry about.

+1 on sell the damn spacers as you can see, everyone and thier brother buys em like candy.

+1 on buy the right wheels. This thread is a classic case of half assing things the cheap kid way, and paying out more in the end.
This is why ppl appear to be brand ****** or only reccomend the best parts.. well, its becuase they are the parts that work, the parts youll buy once and not have wasted your cash.

Dunno.. good luck etc.
Man up, do things the adult correct way.

So if I run the 18x10.5 +20 all around... what tire sizes do I need without fender rolling? I want to be flush up front and SLIGHT poke in the rear. Do I need a spacer for the rear or will 245/40 front and 255/40 rear tires give me the look I want? Thanks for all the help guys I appreciate it
