Default Wheel Advice

Ok so I am 19 and bought a Z. The tires were basically new so I did not want to replace them nor did I have the money but I did want to change the rims so I did. Mistake #1. I bought Enkei 17x7 +38 rims. Idk what I was thinking. I then proceeded to buy spacers to push my rims out. I wanted a slight poke so I bought Ichiba spacers. Mistake #2. 30mm front and 38mm rear. I am running this pitiful set up with 225/50 front and 235/50 rear tires...FAIL! I spent 200 on spacers so I would like to use them but idk if I can. I want to run 245/35/19 front 275/35/19 rears with 19x8 front and 19x9.5 rear +40 offset. Will I still be able to use my spacers without having to roll my fenders? I am dropped on Hotchkis if that matters. Thanks for you help

I run a 245 275 set up and at the most you can put a 20mm in rear and 15mm in front, thats with my 25 offset axis wheels.

What if I ran 225/35/19 front 245/35/19 rear? Could I still use my spacers even though they are massive ha the only reason I want a rim with +40 offset is so I can still use my spacers

I don't know a whole lot about pro wheel set ups, but any spacers bigger than 25mm is sketchy in my opinion, my advice would be to part out that setup and start from scratch.

so obviously you plan on getting new rims? if this is the case then don't even bother worrying about the spacers. get the correct offsets with your new rims and sell the spacers you have.

1. Put oem wheels back on
2. Sell old wheels (if anyone will buy them..)
3. Sell Spacers
4. Do research on proper offsets
5. Purchase wheels with said proper offsets

just sell the spacers and get wheels with a deeper offset... why would you want to use spacers, when you could just buy a deeper offset wheel?

Cut him some slack, he's 19. Although when I was 19 I had Work Emotions on my Z in a proper offset.

Damn it kid. Do some research 1st.... Hindsight is always 20/20 I guess, you know you messed up.

Advise... Exactly what VQ said. RESEARCH and get exactly what you want this time around so you don't waste any money. 9.5" and 10.5" is the standard now day on the Z. Something around +20 to +12 offset with 265/35 front and 285/35 rear and you'll be sittin nice.

could I do 20x9 +35 xxr 526's? that way I could still use my spacers and be +5 front -3 rear... haha money is tight and I hate to just throw these things out. If I could go back and be patient I would but oh well lesson learned. also would 20's even fit without having to roll my fenders if I ran something like 235/40 f 245/40 r or maybe 235/35 f 245/35 r

btw me and my dad finished my hotchkis spring install today and I really like them so far. I do not track and did not want to spend the money on coils but the drop looks nice in person.

Agree. Spacers are used to correct the wrong wheels. Buy proper wheels and put the spacers in the trash.
