Lower would certainly look better, but I don't want to go through the aggravation of worrying about scraping over bumps/driveways. Been there done that with other cars. Let's just say I'm an 'ol fart and a bit more conservative in my approach now.

this is almost the exact look I want to achieve. I have the Tein H Techs, 18x9.5 +15 (all four corners) with 285-40s in the rear and 245-45s in the front. 18s. Haven't seen the car yet though since its at the shop.

These rims have a unique combo of black/gun metal/red. I aways liked the black and red on a RED car, but black overall can be overwhelming and really tends to mute the wheel design. The machined spokes AGAINST the BLACK back drop and red stripe are perfect. Also, these rims really look larger than the typical 18s. WIN... WIN.
