Default How to tell wheel width

I'm trying to determine the width of my Sport Edition A7s that have been on my car since I bought it. Are there any markings on the wheels that would tell me the width? Any way to accurately measure without taking the tire off?

Thanks

Check behind the hub, behind the spokes or in the barrel. It's usually stamped or printed on a sticker somewhere.

I'm guessing 18x8+35 given the info on TireRack.

Or measure with a ruler. Plus or minus 1/2 inch is no big deal. You need to know wheel width for what purpose? Appropriate tire size?

I didn't see any markings on the wheel itself so I resorted to using a ruler which read 7 inches across. I want to know because I am thinking about selling these.

You took off the wheel and looked inside?

No I don't have time to do that right now. I was hoping there was an easier way.

That's the only way short of taking your tire off and measuring. Anything else would be a guess.

I sold OEM 17 inch wheels $99/4. Took 12 months to find a buyer. Good luck.

good write up here. but the tire will need to be unmounted. It's not just the outer edge to edge measurement like most think.
