does anybody know what that gold thing that looks like a nut on the front rotors is? and what the purpose of it is also. i have a track model and when i took off my wheels to put some after market wheels on, the afrter market rims wouldn't fit on becasue of that gold socket looking thing, so i juss removed it and them the rims went on fine. did i unscrew something of importance

What wheels did you put on? Take some pics.

 

It's a dummy screw so you don't put the rear wheel with the fatter tire on the front of the car. Yank it right off. Weight saver too!

 

yeah, to keep peaople from rotating the front tires to the back and vice versa...

 

thanks for the info . i put on maido gr5 20 x 10.5 in the rear and 20 x 9 in the front ill take some pics soon
