Default Racing Harts- to replace or repair and re-plate

Well, its official the chrome lips are oxidized beyond my repair capabilities on my Racing Hart R7 Pros.
19x8.5 +35 Fronts
19x10.5 +26 Rears

http://www.rimguardxtreme.com/chrome.html This is the only repair shop i know of and they want $425 a wheel to restore each one to its former glory, including chrome plating and curb rash removal...

Looking for opinions: So should i repair them or just replace them...? RH is out of biz last i heard and these Rim's are fairly Rare.

There is a guy in Cincinnati that will do the entire set for $400 and his work is top notch.

Ship them or drive em up and Im sure you can figure something out.

You will want all the wheels to look the same. Cost to recondition 4 wheels?

I have used both of these guys:

These guys cost $50-75 to fix a curb mark on a polished lip. Full refinish is probably reasonable too. http://www.redlinerimrepair.com/Contact.aspx

They will look nice restored, hopefully one of the other places will help you get them done at a resonable price.

Be easy, they arent the best wheel, but dont like that bad. However OP, I would invest in some spacers and suspension modification. Good luck.

I think you may have received the wrong quote if you mentioned chrome. Get a quote to have your lips stripped and repolished and they should look as good as new. If the pictures above are the worst of your curb rash, I wouldn't bother with it.

That price can't be right. I'd think a good idea would be to shop around some more. That is waaaaay too steep. If that does come out being the price though, better to buy different wheels IMO. They have some good deals in the Wheels/Tires section of the private sales forum.

I have no idea why they would charge you $425 per wheel, that's absolutely absurd.

Get them fixed if you like them but I wouldn't pay more than $150 per wheel max.

What a rip off... The lips are anodized chrome not plated. Just get them polished, its way cheaper and wont flake or bubble. Powdercoat the faces. Should be about $500 for the whole set.
