I don't get this at all?! He barely has any fender gap and some of us require some ground clearance for things like driving in the snow or on uneven pavement. We don't all have garage queens or track only cars!

Not to mention how stupid slammed cars look with the wheels tucked up under the fender. For my money, the arc of the fender well should be roughly parallel to the arc of the wheel.

You're new here. Welcome to the "Z keyboard warrior bash you for anything and everything" club. I went through it and just brushed, that, dirt off my shoulder.

Ok, so after much searching and talking to folks i want to stay local.. most chrome shops that do work are on the west coast, im in NC...

Now im thinking about just powder coating these racing harts and being done with it, im thinking bronze.

Any thoughts?

Did you overlook my post? These wheels were never chrome. Unless you are intentionally looking to chrome dip them...

If you haven't already, call Family Tire and see who they use for wheel repair. They damaged one of my rims on their mounting machine and whoever they used didn't leave a trace of damage.

Refinishing is $200 to $1,700/4. Well at least we have a number to work with.

New prices today Spoke with two local shops that i can get to without shipping.

Powder coated in bronze + media blast = $700

Polishing the "aluminum" lips = $200

Update:

The polisher couldn't refinish lips without messing up the centers due to the design, He wanted to polish the whole wheel, i declined.

So.. Powder Coating it is, dropped the rims off at Final Touch, http://www.finaltouchpowdercoating.com/ Going with a Matte Black with Bronze metal flake. Pics to come in 3-4 weeks once completed. The shop had some great color selections and some very impressive display items on hand.
