COR Wheels Review
All,
I just wanted to do a little review about my experiences with COR Wheels. First of all, I've owned two GTR's and both now have had wheels made by COR. So, why did I go back to COR when I could've bought wheels made by VOLK, Adv.1's, etc.? The answer is simple; they had a style that I liked, coupled by their quality wheel build process and affordable price.
Once the wheels passes a series of Quality checks (assembly tolerance checks, runout verification, and finish quality inspection) @ their build facility, they package the wheels VERY good before it's shipped on it's way to the customer/vendor. I know this first hand as during my wheel build process, they discovered that one of the wheel lips had a runout that was out-of-spec. They immediately notified me of the problem, sourced another wheel lip, and had the wheel ready to go in a few days.
Because of how good I've been treated and the quality products I've received, I will always check COR Wheels first.
Wheel Specs:
COR Cipher
21"x10" (F)
21"x11.5" (R)
Straight Chrome Lips
Brushed w/tinted clear powder centers

Another Miami, Fl "forged" wheel company. There have been a about 1342340945 threads with companies from this area popping up, then scamming for a bunch of money, and then changing names/locations....then rinse and repeat the cycle. I hope this company is not one of them, but I wouldn't have anything to do with another Miami based wheel company....they all seem to be intertwined.

Just checked them out and i'm thinking that the OP's definition of affordable and this forum's definition of affordable is vastly different. Checked out two different wheel designs that looked nice (mesh concave and 8 spoke deep dish), and both of them started at over $4k.

Yeah went back and looked at a previous deleted FS thread by him because of no verification pic. He said he paid over 7k for the package and was selling them for $5500

To Jim: Thank you for the kind words. We appreciate you as a returning customer and hope to continue to be your direct source for custom wheels. Take pics of wheels on the car when you get a chance. =)
To 03threefiftyz : I cannot argue with you in some portion of your statement. Many forged wheel companies are indeed poping out all over the place down here in south Florida. I want to provide you with some information about our company and how long we have been established, and educate you a little on the 3 Piece wheel industry.
There are several fly by night wheel brands that have purchased their way into the market. Only a minute few actually posses manufacturing capabilities , several others manufacture their wheels though larger manufacturers. This in no way determines how those companies are run. I am certainly not familiar with any bad experience you may have had or general statement you are trying to make, but I wanted to take this opportunity to correct any member you may have confused with your vague, unmerited statement.
We COR International, have been manufacturing for a multitude of private labels for the past 7 years. We manufacture and finish a complete wheel in a box. We lathe turn raw forgings from Aluminum which is bought in crude logs, cnc mill all our centers, prep and finish from powder coat, polished to brushed centers and lips, assembly, etc...
We also manufacture market and sell our own in house brands. We manufacture a unique fitment for every application with our wheels. Those brands are COR Forged, Bespoke Forged, and our latest addition in the works Axiom Forged.
We are a serious company that has grown given the hard economic times facing us all and we have managed to build a clean and clear reputation by a lot of hard work, good R&D, and great customer service being based here in South Florida and Oceanside California.
If you or any member reading this thread find yourselves in Doral Florida with a little time to spend, we invite you to visit us and see a wheel manufactured from birth to final shipment in person.
Once again, we are appreciative all of you whom have taken the time to read this, and want to make it clear that we are always working to gain long term customers. We like any of you would take offense to being bashed or generalized with substandard companies without cause.
Best regards,
I met w COR about a year ago to discuss becoming an inside salesperson
For their outfit. I'd read a little and was skeptical. After meeting the owners
And employees I was enthused, however their employment offer was not
In the star system in which I operate.
That said, I toured their facilities and found that COR produced wheels for
Many other brands which have come and gone. They are using Quality assembly
Methods and components, though I did not meet anyone which had a true
Technical/engineering/racing background.
Ultimately they're nice guys making snazzy wheels.
