Tire pressure sensor?
Just took delivery of an '08 Nismo and noticed the tire pressure sensor light is on. I was just wondering how sensitive it is. I have not checked the pressure in each tire yet. This is just a general question. The car is headed to the dealer to get a multipoint inspection etc.
On that note I do know there are valve caps that change color depending on tire pressure loss.. good idea? If so, recommended brand??
Thanks
Rich

Going forward you should probably research this before making a new thread, and additionally this is not only specific to the Nismo. There's a ton of threads on this very issue.
Anyways- your tires should be at 35 psi per corner to meet the factory specs. Once that's done your TPS light should go away. Mine has been on pretty much since I got the car a year ago and nothing seems to make it go off, so I've just accepted it and check my tires the tried and true way: manually.

Being that you live in the Northeast, the salt has most likely damaged/corroded the sensor! You will need a new one or one's! Not cheap either... The steelership will rake you over.
