Question 18" tire size help

I thinking of switching from my stock 17" to a set of 18" wheels. One of the tire packages I am looking at has 245/45zr and the other has 255/40zr. Now which tire height can be used without effecting the TCS and speedo? The difference is 677mm vs 661mm, so a 1.6cm difference. Which do you guys recommend?
Thanks

all new 18 " wheels/tires. fronts will be either 40's or 45's. offset is 35, not really worried about the wheels fitment, just need to know which sidewall size to get to keep things normal....
thanks

No, I have a "G" with Nismo 18s. Dunlop SP9000 245/40 and 275/40. However, I did sell my old 18" "G" wheels to a "Z" owner. He had no issues (speedometer, computer or otherwise). He has an Enthusiast.

Lou; Thanks for the reply, just one other question-did that Z owner have an auto or 6mt? I know the final drive ratios are different 3.54-6mtand 3.36 auto Is that too small to matter?
Thanks
PS I spent the first two years of my life in Tucson,60 years ago!

Hey lawnmore

You're my age huh? I'm 65. The Enthusiast was a 6MT. Glad to hear you bought the 18" "G" wheels. They are nice, and handle well with the Michelins. Transmisson type and final drive ratio, don't matter. I just wanted something wider and lighter, hence my switch to the Nismos.

the correct profile size depends on width and front or rear.

245/40 275/40 are the same as 225/45 and 245/45. all on 18" rims.
